As a proud Kirrae, Peek and Tjab Whurrong person of the Gunditjmara nation in south-west Victoria, Jason Mifsud developed a strong sense of purpose from a very early age. Through his parents, and community Elders, he grew up understanding the importance of role models, setting goals, and a can-do attitude matched with a strong work ethic.
Jason is driven to ensure that Indigenous people get a fair go and deserve a fair go, an equal go. That the principle of self-determination is a realistic goal, and that Indigenous people can see themselves in the world of business, making a real difference to their own lives, the lives of their families and the community more broadly.
